2018 CR-V Technology
Available on the 2018 Honda CR-V is an Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system with Low-Speed Follow. This feature is able to utilize a sensor located at the front of the vehicle to monitor the distance between your CR-V and the vehicle in front of you. When you select a distance that you would like to keep between vehicles, the system is capable of automatically speeding up or slowing down accordingly. ACC with Low-Speed Follow cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed, and other factors. ACC should not be used in heavy traffic, poor weather, or on winding roads. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
Also available on the 2018 CR-V is a Lane Keeping Assist System, or LKAS. By using a sensor located near your rear-view mirror, this innovative technology is capable of understanding your location on the road. If the system begins to detect that you're unintentionally veering out of your lane, it will adjust the steering to bring you back to your appropriate position. LKAS only assists driver in maintaining proper lane position when lane markings are identified without a turn signal in use and can only apply mild steering torque to assist. LKAS may not detect all lane markings; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and road condition. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
